Bio

Growing up in Erie, Pennsylvania, Corinne Justine has actively pursued a professional career since the age of six. She started her training at Lake Erie ballet, participated in Mercyhurst Preparatory School's dance company, trained at Erie Dance Theater, and competed in national conventions. Throughout her time in Erie, Corinne has had the opportunity to work with Leslie Boris-Scalise, Nathaniel Johnson, Tana Hunter, Maryanne Dombrowski, Elec Simon and Tina Custer. Her hard work and dedication lead her to be able to pursue her dreams and attend The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, receiving her BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance with an emphasis in composition and choreography.

At her time at the The Conservatory, Corinne has participated in residencies with Jessica Castro, Zoe Scofield, Jennifer Archibald, and Mark Morris Dance Company member, Marjourie Folkman. Some of her favorite performances include the student bodies 2018 Bruno Mars Tribute Show, Té Atanas Lady and the Champ music video and performing at the 2019 Berklee commencement for Missy Elliot and Justin Timberlake. She has had the wonderful opportunity to co-choreograph Bare: A Pop Opera musical, music videos, and collaborate with fellow artists in the Boston community. Some of her most memorable achievements are starting the Commercial Dance Club at The Boston Conservatory, and creating FLUX, a film centered around shared experiences and emotions. FLUX premiered at her first co-produced show, Re:Member, with Avery Gerhardt.

Corinne has spent her quarantine busy performing, teaching and creating. This past summer she performed in Carla Hughes Piece All Rhythm No Blues at the Erie Jazz and Blues Festival. She started teaching and choreographing for Erie Dance Conservatory’s Regional Dance America competition. Her new work The Killing Season will premiere in their 2021 season. She was given the unimaginable opportunity to be a company member in Seiche Dance collective. Within the last moments of 2020, Corinne was blessed to be announced Erie, Arts and Culture’s Emerging Fellow award for 2020-2021 fellowship program.
